Grant to support the repair & restoration of the West side of building

The Church of St Mary de Haura in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, was given a grant by the Sussex Historic Churches Trust, of £6,500 in 2015 to support the restoration and repair of the west front side of the building.

As can be seen in the images, the building on this western side was suffering from severe crumbling stonework to major parts of the wall and around the main doorway.  In addition, the window was also damaged and in need of repair.

The restoration work has now been completed and, as you can see in the images, the imposing church front has been returned to its former glory.
