The Sussex Historic Churches Trust exists to support essential repairs and restoration of places of worship of architectural or historic interest throughout Sussex.

In 2017 we are proud to say that we were able to give grants totalling over £100,000 to help 11 places of worship with essential work:

  • Ore: Christ Church, £3,500 – Roof
  • Iden: All Saints, £5,000 – Tower
  • Pevensey (Spiller): St Nicolas, £30,000 – Chancel Roof & Restoration
  • Little Common, Bexhill: St Mark, £ 7,000 – Roof
  • Brighton: St Peter, £10,000 – Tower
  • Upper Beeding: St Peter, £5,000 – >Chancel Roof
  • Horsham: St Mary the Virgin, £10,000 – Roof
  • Parham: St. Peter, £10,000 – Tower & Vestry Roof
  • Denton: St Leonard’s, £3,500 – Roof
  • Blacklands: Christ Church, £7,500 – Dry Rot
  • Amberley: St Michael’s, £10,000 – Tower
